USC's Barkley focused on winning Pac-12, not on winning Heisman

Fans perked up when news of USC's quarterback Matt Barkley, announced his senior arrival this season causing many to place him at the top of Heisman watch lists. However, after a huge let down with the Trojans, Sept. 15 Barkley now finds himself under heavy criticism and head to head for the Heisman title with West Virginia's rising star Geno Smith. After a look at statistics over the past four games, it show that Geno Smith would be named first on the Heisman list for his versatility in playing any style.

Second Read: Patriots find a running game, more Week 4 observations


After more than disappointing upsets in the past four weeks of the NFL the Patriots seem to be back on their A-game. In the game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, the Patriots reminded fans of the grade-A team they really are with a rush of 247 yards. Tom Brady is a force to be reckoned with if the Patriots keep up the run they have gotten so far into the season.


Rooney, Van Persie connect twice; Barcelona wins, but at a cost

They always say a little teamwork never hurt anybody and United can surely attest to that with the strong work of Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney in a 2-1 win over CFR Clu. With such amazing teamwork this is now forcing the question of how to get quality out of Rooney while still having Van Persie on the field as well. Since 2005 United has been on a search for a quality penalty player and as talk has it, Rooney would be a perfect fit.
